The Home Preservation program is a home repair and maintenance service dedicated to helping low income homeowners through a home repair loan or qualifying assistance program.
Services Offered (exterior only):
- exterior painting and staining
- porch and deck repairs
- general landscaping
- weatherization
- accessibility and ramps
- doors and windows
- replace siding
Property Eligibility:
- Location in Polk County or Landrum
- Home must be at least 10 years old
- Home must be owner occupied (proof of property)
- Must be current on property taxes, homeowner’s insurance, and mortgage
Homeowner Requirements:
- Income must be between 30 and 80 percent of area median income
- Credit and monthly budget must sustain a monthly loan payment, if applicable
- Sweat equity volunteer hours are required by owner(s)
- Ability to pay for materials
- A willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity
